Christmas brought.....

...Family...

...Wall-E and sugary treats...

...bed head and new jammies.

All is Well

So I figured a way around the photobucket thing. So I feel much better now! Now I can semi-edit my photos again and share them! So here are a couple things I wanted to share with you.

I love when the kids are busy with activities. They wanted to paint one day so we rolled out the butcher paper and they went to town.

And today I am "post-Christmas cleaning". I love it. It feels great to throw things away and re-organize things. I will be vacuum packing my wedding dress soon and it's been a while since I looked at it so I decided to put it on. Ha! It was so much fun. The kids thought it was pretty cool and Peyton kept telling me I should "show daddy because he would really like your pretty dress."

A Crisis

Help me. I am stuck using our loser of a desktop computer since our laptop is broken. It won't let me upload pictures or video to photobucket. What will I do without being able to upload pictures???? What will I blog about without a picture???? Can anyone fix our laptop???? Well at least here is a picture of the kids in the snow last weekend that I already had in photobucket. This will hold me over for a couple of days but what then???

All I Want for Christmas

Santa's been good to us. Wait, forget Santa, Peyton get's all the credit here. He is finally using the toilet! Wahoo! I feel so free now that I only have to change half the diapers as before! Yay for toilets and barely 3 year olds.

Joy straight out of the oven...

This was our afternoon snack. Doesn't get better.

and then this was my snack:

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

Why did you give me peanuts? Aren't you supposed to know I am allergic to peanuts? I just don't understand why you would give them to me when you know they make me so sick. Oh well, I guess it's just because you're REALLY old or something. Maybe you just forgot.

Well anyway, this year for Christmas I really want to get a "good spiderman" and a "bad spiderman". That's what I really want. Do you make those in your toy factory? I've been really good this year. I promise my mom to be a good boy all the time but she doesn't believe me. By the way, my mom has also been very good this year, she really deserves something special. Maybe you should get her a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I know she would really like that and then she could make me lots more cookies.

I hope you travel safely to my house in a few weeks. We will leave a treat for you and your reindeer on the kitchen table. See ya soon!
Love,
Peyton

December Celebrations I

Making a Gingerbread House

Paige was so into it.

This is pretty much what she did the whole time. Not much made it from her hands to the house. Notice the mouth?

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

Oh, I forgot,

Remember this post? Well I saw it.

I really just tagged along with the girls to get away for a little while. And I liked it. (I never said I wouldn't I just said that I didn't want to like it like you all.) In fact, I couldn't get it out of my head for hours. It was annoying but I couldn't help it.

Durring the previews guess what came on the screen....Confessions of a Shopaholic. And then I leaned over to Janna and said, "If you read my books I'll read Twilight." She agreed. I regret that very much. Let's just hope that she never reads them.

That's it. I will not say anything more about it.

Now I am really going to bed.

Thanksgiving Part II:

Everyone hanging out at Jaimie's house hovering over the food.
My gorgeous view from the dinner table. It snowed the whole time.
This was Paige most of the weekend, she had a stomache virus.
This is what the kids did to keep busy:

Now I have the stomach virus and I am miserable. So this sicky is going to bed.

A quick Hello

I am not blogging today. Too much to clean. Car is done. Laundry next. Have to go to work. Lot's of changes happening in the Adams residence. Do come back tomorrow though and I will have an eyeful for you. Until then, enjoy this picture.

I guess I blogged after all.

Pies and Friends

I am busy. Are you?

Thanksgiving is in 2 days. And my assignment is pies. I have never had an assignment before because we travel to Show Low every year and, well, it's hard to bring food 3 hours to the mountains. But pies, pies can travel just fine. And I am excited that I can claim part of this enormous meal as my contribution.

This week was busy. So I am getting some help from good old Costco. I went today and not tomorrow. You know why. And I got my two pumpkin pies and one pecan pie. I am not a big fan of pecan pie but it's favorite at the Adams' homestead. And tomorrow, first thing in the morning I am making my own cherry pie (for me and my father-in-law) and here's the best part: a pumpkin banana mousse pie. A pumpkin banana mousse pie. I said it again just so that you got it for sure. Yum. Thank you Ina Garten and Food Network for existing and having Dear Food Network Thanksgiving. I learned alot. ALOT. And I can't wait to have our family's annual "Between Thanksgiving and Christmas Thanksgiving Dinner". (I just named it that.) Because even though I don't cook a Thanksgiving dinner doesn't mean I don't buy a 20 pound turkey at 45 cents a pound and another 13 pound turkey--for later.

So I am really looking forward to trying out my newly acquired skills. Well, they're not exactly acquired yet, but it's all in my head and I can't wait to try them out. But I am also really looking forward to going to Show Low and feeling the cold air and enjoying time with family and watching movies all weekend and hopefully playing in the snow. Crossing fingers!

On another subject, last night I went to a get-together with some high school friends that I haven't seen since high school. I thought I would never see any of them again and I was okay with that. Not that I didn't like them, they were all really great people, I just wasn't very involved in high school, I had another life after the school bell rang and I preferred that one. But I went just for the heck of it and I had a GREAT time! It was so great to catch up on everyone's life since H.S. Where they went on the mish, who they married, what they do to make some money, what their children look like, all that. And of course I love any reason to show off my own kids. I seriously had such a great time. I stayed until 10'oclock and could've stayed longer just talking. So thank you Kendall for hosting, and thank you Chad for coming to visit and giving us reason to get together. Let's do it again soon, okay?

I'm off to the mountains for the rest of the week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Really. Have a fantastic one.

Mwah.

Shopping, Secrets, Goddesses, and being Forgetful

Okay, so here it is. This is one of my favorite authors. I love every book. And her latest is my all time favorite so far. Now may I forewarn you, there is a little bit of language in these books. So if that bothers you, you may not like these. It's not over the top or anything, it's occasional. This has kind of been me and my mom's dirty little secret because I didn't want to tell anyone I read books with swearing in it. The truth is out! Sorry mom, I just outed you too. And I watch some movies with swearing in it too! Not right now though, it's pretty much just Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, and Santa is Coming to Town. But anyway I love Sophie Kinsella, she keeps me entertained and reading into the night. Hope you guys enjoy her too!
(her non-Shopaholic books)

(and my very favorite, on my Christmas list this year by the way just in case you wanted to know.)

Another favorite author of mine is Emily Giffin. She is similair to Sophie Kinsella and I've liked all of her books too.
