Peyton is 8!

Peyton's baptism was October 26, 2013. I was a great day with family and friends to join us in celebrating Peyton. We are so proud of this choice he made and the kind of boy he is.  I could not be prouder of him or love him more.

Football 2013

Yep, Peyton is doing football. Full on tackle football. It's a little nerve wracking but he really likes it. Josh is helping to coach this year, not sure if he'll do that again. Peyton is on the team along with his 2 cousins close to his age. It's fun for them to be together. I do have to say he looks pretty snazzy in his whole game day uniform. This year Peyton is a 2nd grader and Paige is a 1st grader. They are so grown up! They are great kids and I know this year will be great for them.

Summer Part 6: Camping

We did a quick over night camping trip one Stormy Friday. The clouds started to roll in and we thought twice about even going. But since I had done so much prep work I figured we might as well just take a risk and go. The clouds seemed to stay to the east of us in the end so we only got a few sprinkles.  We had a great time. Just the 4 of us plus Siri of course. We ate by the fire, slept on the hard ground, hiked, shot Peyton's gun, and lounged. It was the perfect over night camping trip.

Summer Part 5: Lego Kids Fest

Lego Kids Fest was the Cardinals stadium filled with Lego activities! There were many stations where you could do lot's of different things. The kids had a great time, it was exhausting for Josh and me, but we got to spend time together with the kids having fun and letting them explore. Many pictures to follow:

Summer Part 4: Summer Dance

Allie and Lexi were able to stay with us for a night and then go to dance with Paige and me in the morning. It was great to see the three girls dancing together and having fun!

Summer Part 3: Birthday Girl

I thought it was important for both of the kids to do summer school this year so they both did it for the whole month of June. Paige's birthday is in the month of June so she got to celebrate it with her summer school class. She wanted to bring doughnuts to her class so that's what we did! But before school she of course got to open up all her presents. What a big girl she is, 6 years old, with an attitude but a sweet loving heart. She used to tell me she loved me daily, she doesn't as much any more but she shows it in other ways.

Good times fishing! Summer Part 2

We don't usually catch anything, this particular trip we caught one little tiny fish. Oh well, better than nothing. It's the time spent together that matters, not how many fish we catch!

Summer Part 1

Our summer has come and gone. Kids are in school and dance has begun. But here is part 1 of our summer report.  The kids finally did swim lessons this year. I've been meaning to get them into them for a couple of years now. With mom and dad moving to a place with a pool I figured they should know how to swim if we are going to be at the pool alot. Shelby was their instructor and she was great. Both kids learned to do the breast stroke, float on their backs and bellies, dive for rings and they had so much fun doing it. I was so proud to see their progress in just the short 2 weeks of lessons.
