Jr. Fire Fighters
Thanks to Kristina for putting this playgroup together! It was awesome! We went to the fire station down the street for a tour with the firefighters and it was such a fun thing for the kids to get to see. Peyton even volunteered to show how to stop-drop-and roll, it was so funny. He followed directions perfectly. Here he is covering his face and rolling around. I was a very proud mama!

Here is the fireman talking to the kids about fire safety. Peyton was the volunteer because he was very outspoken. When the fireman asked a question he would say "I know! I know!" And then he would talk about transformers, I think he was hoping that the fire truck would transform for us, it didn't. Very disapointing.
Thanks again to all the firefighters of Gilbert Station #2, C Shift, that took us all around the fire house and in and through the fire trucks. They were all very patient and very kind. Wednesday, September 24, 2008
An army of Spiders and Ghosts!
This was our craft project this week. We made spiders and ghosts for Halloween! I am so excited for October to come I just couldn't wait until next week to make these. They were both very cheap to make. The spiders are made of cut apart egg cartons, painted black, googly eyes and legs attached. They are creepy crawly and very cute!
Do you have a ton of grocery shopping bags that are stuck in a cabinet taking up space? I did! So I made goulish ghosts out of them! The bodies are half of a plastic shopping bag and the other half is used to stuff the heads. Stick on some funny googly eyes and whala!
This was fun to do with the kids and I barely spent any money at all! Try it! Next week I will hang our army from the tree in the front yard to scare away any witches or goblins and they will welcome us home every time we pull up!
Bog Worthy, bog? BLog Worthy
As I am doing things throughout the day I often see moments that need to be captured and blogged about later. Most of these moments don't actually make it to the blog, surpisingly, but here are those moments from the past couple of days. Enjoy.
Peyton is guiding Paige down the hall to his bedroom. They love to hold hands and of course Paige will go wherever Peyton takes her.
Eating lunch one day Peyton came to me and said, "Mom, my corn dog bit me!"
Paige loves to lick water. Just before this moment we were outside hosing down the patio to wash off the chalk and she sat right down into a puddle and started lapping it up like a dog.
She just looked very pretty this day, had to catch that cute outfit on film.
Josh just loves this picture. Paige found her pockets and started putting everything in them, including her cup. (She is wearing Peyton's snow hat.)
Enjoying the backyard in all its glory! We are enjoying the early morning weather sooo much. I send the kids out there for an hour of so while I eat my breakfast and watch them run around and play.

Thanks for looking!

You know...that bouncy place.
First off, this must be the picture of the week. This is what the caption says, "Oh, Pay, you have a owie? Sit down, sit down, I will put a banaid (bandaid) on for you." That is love. You know, they love each other so much it's ridiculous. And when I look at this picture my heart really swells with love for them. I am so glad they have each other and I am so glad that they are mine.
Now, for playgroup this week we went to Funastics. But I didn't want to call it that when I told Peyton where we were going because he just wouldn't have a clue what that was so when he asked where we were going I just told him, "You know....that bouncy place." He breathed in so hard I thought he was going to inhale his toungue. He was very excited. And he, and Paige, had a great time. Paige had a pacifier in her mouth the entire time which makes her very mellow. Next time I will keep it at home so she can let loose a little more!

Caught Mid-Air!
Peyton is really workin it here. He sat and pouted right in front of the woman that was helping the kids jump off this mat. So of course she asks him what is wrong and he heaves a heavy sigh and says, "I got a owie from that boy." So she kisses her fingers and then touches his nose, and he was all smiles from that moment on. What a kid.

We had a great time! We will definitely do it again!

Cook for 17-18 minutes on 475 (those are my oven settings anyway)I usually make 2 rectangle (cookie sheet) pizzas.
The Happenings
I made this pillow for Paige our of leftover fabric from a blanket I made her and she loves it!
I bought this fabric with a coupon because it makes me sooooo happy to look at it, but what should I do with it now?
And the kids this morning, Peyton saying to me, "Take a picture of me and transformer!" So I did. They're both saying 'cheese!'Tuesday, September 2, 2008
Camping Labor Day Weekend
We had a great time camping with Grandma and Grandpa Adams, Uncle Jon, Aunt Becky, Kirstyn, Mckenzie, Dallin, Bryce, and some friends of Jon and Becky's. The kids loved it and although we got alot of rain, the kids still had a blast. Kids and mud, what more could they ask for? Here are the boys playing with a rope and just walking around with it, it was cute to watch them follow each other.
Peyton posing for me.
I could NOT get a good picture of the kids sitting still and both looking at me at the same time, this was the best one out of about 8 I tried to take of them.
Not a good picture, but the only one of me camping so there.
Paige just picked flowers the whole time, when she wasn't falling in the mud.
Peyton and Kirstyn playing, Peyton loves the older girls and does everything they do.
Paige is thinking about sitting in the mud one more time, it's nice and squishy.
Paige 4-wheeling! Vroom!
Josh caught 3 fish Monday morning, and Peyton thought it was pretty cool, he liked touching the eyeball!
This is when we had just arrived at Big Lake, the kids are still in their pajamas and they are clean in this picture!
Josh is cooking! He always helps with cooking when we are camping and I just love it, he can't deny knowing how to cook because I have evidence of every camping trip!
Peyton just playing and getting dirty.
Ooops, I fell again. Paige walked around everywhere and fell alot since she is still farely new to the whole walking thing. But she didn't care.
Ooh, pretty flower.
Hello!
All the kids on the 4-wheeler. Well, some of the kids.
Paige loved seeing Daisy all the time and I think Daisy liked the attention.
