Peyton still does nap but some days he just doesn't. On days that he doesn't take a nap I usually load the kids in the car to put him to sleep and he usually sleeps for a couple hours. Some days he just falls asleep in front of a movie. So today I thought it would be one of those days that he just didn't take a nap. We were busy running around and finishing errands and I was sure he would fall asleep at some point around 2:00 while we were driving around but he didn't. We came home and my visiting teachers came over and he was so hyper. After they left he told me,"Mom, I want to take a nigh-nigh. You come and turn on my 'car race' light (race car nightlight) and close my door." I thought 'yeah right'. So I did and he crawled into his bed under his sheets and I shut the door and he went to sleep! He really literally put himself down for a nap!!!! I could not believe it. I thought "I have the best kid ever!" Now if only he would just teach himself how to use the potty.

Signs to tell you when to start potty training:
"Mom, I can't eat my ice cream. I got poo. You need to change me."
Mmmm, if Peyton can tell me this, then it's high time he gets potty trained. Seriously, he doesn't want anything to do with the potty. He flat out told me a few weeks ago, "I don't want to go poo and pee in the potty, I want to go in my diaper." So I haven't really pushed it on him yet and I haven't given it very much effort either, but I think it's time to get going. I am dreading it and hoping it's not going to be as bad as I think. Wish me luck!

Peyton Ryne Adams
Peyton says some really funny things. He cracks me up when he says a serious adult sentence. Examples to come later. But he said something funny tonight when I got home from work. Now for some reason Peyton refuses to say his own name. Maybe it's too hard for him to say or something, who knows, he has NEVER said his own name. He knows who he is and when we ask him if he is Peyton he says yes. But he won't say it. So when I came home from work Josh asked him to say his full name. And after some bribing he finally declared to me that his name was "Big-boy Ryne Adams". It was so funny! I guess he said his actual name for Josh at one point but he wouldn't do it for me!

Elder Piercy
My brother just got his mission call today! We were all very excited to find out where he was going because we all just knew that he was going foreign. He is. And for some reason I was thinking he was going somewhere where I didn't know there was a mission. He is. He is called to the Armenia Yerevan Mission. He is leaving August 24, and is due back 2010! We are so proud of him that he has made this decision to serve the Lord and the people of Armenia. He is the first and probably only missionary in our family since my Dad, so this is so huge for us. We are excited for him and so proud. Love you Michael!
