On this day I want to remember some things about my children:
Peyton- The way he talks. Some words or phrases he says regularly: "I yuv you so much" "Don't worry Pay (Paige), no bad guys, I will protect you." And short conversation we had the other day: Peyton-"Ow! That freakin hurt!"
Mom-"Did you just say freakin?"
Peyton- "Yeah, is that a bad word?"
I told him it wasn't because it was a lot better than another word he said a few times,
but that is for another blog story.
I love that Peyton cares for his sister and really does try to protect her.
I love that Peyton sometimes tells ME that it is his bedtime. He never fights me on bedtime. He just accepts that it is that time and goes willingly.
I love that he cuddles.
I love that he wants to help me cook all the time.
Now Paige:
I love listening to her have a phone conversation with no one. She LOVES to talk and even on the phone.
I love HOW she talks. It is really really hard to immitate and very original!
I love her one little curly-q on the back of her head.
I love how she gives hugs to her brother and open mouth kisses and when she has a pacifier in her mouth how she just leans in for kisses.
I love how she toddles when she walks.
I love how she is starting to understand so much of what we say and how she in turn tries so hard to communicate back to us.
I love how she growls when she plays.
I really love that she loves soft things and she rubs them under her chin and on her neck. She cuddles with anything soft and she just burries her head in it.

We have a toddler!
I'm a dork and recorded Paige walking sideways, I always forget that you can't do that when you videotape! I'll try to remember to do another one the right way, but for those of you who just can't wait, tilt your head the left and here she is walking! (and just for the future Paige and the future me when I forget and she asks, Paige was 13 months old when she walked, for the record.)

4th of July
I am SUCH a slacker mom! I did NOT dress the kids up for the 4th. I kind of didn't really care. I know, such a slacker. So I think Paige was wearing green that day (because she doesn't even have anything in red) and Peyton wore maroon, which I picked out on purpose because it was the closest to red. But they did have a great day in Show Low watching the parade and running for the candy. Paige loved seeing all the horses and Peyton thought it was so cool that people were throwing candy at him to fill his pockets! His pockets were so full that his pants kept falling down exposing his diaper but he didn't care he just kept pulling them up and running for more! And again, I am such a slacker because there are NO pictures from the weekend. Because I have to pack up so much stuff when we go to Show Low that I am bound to forget something! But Josh's mom is the photographer of the family so I'll have to get pictures that she took all weekend. Both the kids stayed up for fireworks but only lasted 5 minutes and then they were out! But for those 5 minutes they were both mesmerized! It was great too because we just sat in chairs in the driveway of Josh's parents house and watched them! And we watched the traffic which we were glad to not be a part of! It was great!
July 4th weekend was the way that summer should be spent. I just kept thinking "this is how it's supposed to be!" The kids ran through the sprinklers, ate popsicles, had a barbecue, sat outside on the porch swing, rode the 4-wheeler, it was just a perfect weekend. We had so much fun just enjoying summer, instead of being stuck in the house all day because it's 112 degrees outside!
SYTYCD!
This is my favorite piece from this week. I love anything that Tyce does, contemporary, broadway, all of it. This piece proves that dance doesn't have to have a STORY to be appreciated, it can just be a piece of artwork. This is the coolest thing because it was literally a moving piece of art. Very cool. The other thing about this piece that I love is the fact that there is so little music, it's just a voice but there are so many more movements than there is music. You could just watch this on mute and it is still just as beautiful and just as dynamic.

SYTYCD
Can you feel the passion and energy emanating, oozing, uxude, emit (do you get it?) from them? This is my favorite piece from last week, and this week I just saw the Mia Michaels piece, and it was A-MAZING as always. Can't wait to find it on YouTube.
