Defeat

I am feeling a little defeated right now. Just about little things in life. Especially cleaning my house! Whenever I clean a room I know the kids are going to come in right behind and me dirty it up again. So why not just leave everything as it is? Because it does feel really good to have things clean even just for a moment. I especially hate when I wash all the dishes and put them on the counter or the sink to dry and then one of those clean dishes or utensils are needed and they get dirtied up again before they even got put back. Same thing with laundry. Can't I just have every item of clothing or every dish clean and put away before something gets dirty again?

Paige loves to ignore me. I will tell her to do something 20 times before I just end up doing it myself. It is so annoying.

The kids are fighting with each other like no other right now. Wow. Peyton knows how to manipulate Paige and annoy the living poop out of her and Paige really knows how to react. She's a super star when it comes to crying and screaming. Here's a phrase I say 200 times a day: "Is that something to cry about?!!!!"

Nutcracker is barely coming along. I am nervous nobody is going to know what to do on stage.

My house is still the same as it was when we moved in. We have done a few things inside but it pretty much is the same as far as awesome wall paper and yellow paint throughout the whole house. Imagine a picnic blanket on your dining room wall with little fruits all over it. Imagine a faux brick wallpaper wall in your master bedroom. I said it was awesome.

But tonight I am going to enjoy decorating the Christmas tree in our new awesome house (I really do love our house despite the wallpaper) and forget about everything else for now. I am excited for the holidays to be here. And for the moment the kids are hiding from Josh so I am enjoying the quiet. Oh. It's over.

Halloween 2010

This year the kids dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and Link from The Legend of Zelda. They both chose their costumes and we were able to bring them to fruition! The had a great time dressing up and trick or treating at Josh's work. They have a great little activity for the kids at his work where the kids can do some Halloween crafts and games and then trick or treat at each office. It's alot of fun for the kids and I think the adults too.

Hahahaha! And this is at our ward Trunk or treat. My camera flashes really bright! It was really cold by the end and the kids were ready to go home anyway!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

I love this time of year! The kids and I went to the Snowflake pumpkin patch again this year and picked out the perfect pumpkins. (That was Peyton's goal.) Unfortunately I could never really get a good picture of the kids because the sun was in their eyes all the time. But they were good sports and we had a good time walking around looking around at all the pumpkins and going through the corn maze.

The kids had to answer questions and then go in the direction it told you to go. We made it out luckily.

Who is who?

5 years old!

Today is a very windy day. It's nice. Feels like Fall. Well, on October 21st Peyton Ryne turned 5. 5. He's so big! I seriously can't take the idea of him going to school next year! But he is just mine for now so we will enjoy every minute of it. He had 3 birthday celebrations this year since we celebrated with both families and he had a Halloween Party with cousins and friends. I love that he was born so close to Halloween. October is my favorite month of the year after all.

We started out having a fire in our fireplace for the very first time! It was so exciting for everyone and we enjoyed it so much.

We're so glad that Peyton is part of our family. He is such a great boy, learning so much, growing so big, and making us happy! Happy Birthday!

A Sunday Escape

We decided to go higher on the mountain to find us some Autumn. As we drove higher we slowly started to see more colors. It's still a little early but we found some Fall. In just a couple of weeks things will look completely different. I can't wait for that. Here is our little day trip documented.

Tiring day for Peyton. But this helped him to be ready for the rough hike ahead.

Starting to see some color!

Remember this picture from last year? Here we are again, a year older.

Peyton took this photo of us and did a great job!

After the tough hike, I mean... tough.

We are so enjoying Fall here. My favorite time of year and even more now that I live in it! I love it. My house is decorated for Halloween with a couple of new creations. I am currently working on making the kids Halloween costumes and a couple more. I will share those when they are done. Happy Fall!

Fall Celebration

We had our annual Fall celebration last Friday on the first of October. We had fun decorating caramel apples and then of course enjoyed eating them while watching Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. I love that movie. That one is my favorite of all the Charlie Brown specials. It makes life feel so simple and good. Paige was really just interested in the apple part of the caramel apple. The next day I peeled off the caramel for her and she was a happy bird.

The weather is getting chilly here. We are so ready to use our fireplace for the first time. Maybe this weekend. Enjoy your cooler weather wherever you are.

Ballet Class

Paige is still taking ballet now that the new year has started. She is excited that this time she will get to dance on stage this year with a costume. Becky is so great with the young girls and Paige loves going to dance. She even has gone in with Becky to tap class after ballet but she says that it's too loud.

Being so quiet and tip-toeing to the side of the room.
(She has the white flower in her hair in all the pictures)
